New Sign
The cement sign in front of Shore Drive S. will state “Shore Drive So. and Pasadena Isle, a residential community”. It will be finished in black granite with gold letters and was donated by Comm. Crowley, owner of the granite company Cutting Edge. It should be a very fancy sign.
Improvement Department
Chris, the Administrative Secretary of the Improvement Department is also the Certified Business Tax Official for the city. On April 22-26 she attended a conference in Orlando at the State Conference for the Florida Association of Business Tax Officials. She received credit hours for attending and said the meeting was very interesting and she enjoyed it and learned a lot.
South Pasadena Book Swap
If you come to the Cultural Arts Room in City Hall on May 15 at 5-6:30 p.m. and on May 22 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. you will hear the guest speaker Maxene Obenschain Kleier, the author of “Possessed Mentalities”. This will be followed by a Book Swap and refreshments.
At The Fountains
“The Road to the White House” will be the lecture on Tuesdays May 13 and 27 at 2:30 p.m. This lecture on the presidential candidates will help you learn where they stand on the issues and discover information on previous presidential elections. RSVP two days prior to each event.
On Wednesday, May 14 at 2 p.m. a representative of the Vision Impaired Support Group will provide up-to-date instruments and tools that will assist the vision impaired. At the end of the presentation you’ll have the opportunity to purchase the items showcased and to meet the professional team. RSVP by May 12.
On Thursday, May 15 at 2 p.m. a representative from Hill Law Group will guide you through important legal documents and issues. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP by May 14. All RSVP’s should be directed to 347-2169. Please call as seating is limited.
