Q: What are the city's laws about keeping hens and roosters?

A: You can’t have them, says City Manager Mike Bonfield. The city code of ordinances Chapter 14-1(b) supports his statement:

“It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any animal within the city limits, with the exception of household pets.” The code also defines “household pet” as a dog, house cat, small bird “or such other animal generally considered to be a domesticated pet.”
