City council approved the following items at Thursday night’s meeting:
• Renewal of an interlocal agreement with other area police to share information without requiring a public records request
• Approving an agreement for mutual aids between Gulfport Police and other police departments. This agreement allows officers to “conduct routine business and provide emergency assistance in neighboring jurisdictions,” according to a memo from city staff to the council.
• An agreement to begin negotiations with Eco-City Partners to administrate the PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) program. This program will allow commercial properties to secure loans for energy-efficient improvements with the building itself.
