Each of these items passed the commission with unanimous approval a second and final time.

• The commission lifted restrictions on exterior paint colors. Now only black or fluorescent paint cannot be used as primary exterior color of any building. People may still paint trim black.

• Stores can now display merchandise outside as long as they meet certain guidelines.

• Chain link fences around under construction commercial properties must have a top rail.
