Cooking Their Butts Off

Cooking Their Butts Off

Nancy Millard offers up a taste of one of several competing pork shoulders in the Pinellas Pioneer Settlement’s “Cook Your Butt Off” Challenge this past Saturday. Many competitors camped at the settlement to watch their pork cook overnight; the next day, people paid five dollars for the privilege of tasting each of the dishes, which ranged from spicy mojo pork to sweet slow-cooked pork.

Gulfport’s Smokin’ J’s sponsored the event.
