If you ate at O’Maddy’s on St. Patrick’s Day, you helped the Boca Ciega High School baseball program get bleachers. As part of its restaurant’s annual St. Patrick’s Day street party, the  Guenther family donated 30% of the day’s profits to the program.

Smokin’ J’s and Salty’s also donated to the baseball program, as did Olivia Guenther. The tow-headed preschooler wanted to work alongside her dad, Joe, who runs O’Maddy’s. He set her to work with a sack of potatoes and a plastic knife, and for four hours she cut potatoes. Next, she asked her dad if she could move on to cabbage.
