“I can't believe we're doing this is Gulfport. I'm so happy!” Gulfport resident Darrell Turley said as he and his daughters watched the personal watercraft (PWC) races from the Gulfport Recreation Center field Sunday afternoon. “Look,” he said to his daughter, pointing to the black PWC in the lead, “That’s the kind I used to have.”
Gulfport celebrated the second annual AquaMania celebration this weekend. Although the inaugural event was eclipsed by Tropical Storm Debby, this year the party lasted two full days and included races as well as PWC freestyle demonstrations. This performer, who showed his skills Sunday, completed six consecutive barrel rolls as part of the demonstration.
