Gulfport Park Benches

Q:  Why can't we upgrade the benches [and so forth]? Please ... take a look at "Perennial Park Products" recycled plastic outdoor furniture.  I saw this product in downeast Maine and it is attractive and has a 50 year limited warranty.

A: The city’s new budget includes $25,000 to put new benches in Clymer Park and along the proposed extended walkway, city manager Jim O’Reilly tells us. Gulfport will also use that money to start replacing benches and signs in city buildings. O’Reilly adds that he has asked the parks department to look into Perennial Park Products as well as other recycled park equipment.
