Q: I saw a police officer run a red light. Did they get a ticket? Also, have any other officers or city staff received tickets? - Name withheld
A: While one Tampa and one St. Petersburg police officer have received tickets, no Gulfport officers have violated the law, Chief Rob Vincent assures the Gabber. ATS, the company that receives the video and monitors the cameras, sent one video of an officer going through a red light, but upon review the police determined “that the officer was involved in a response that justified the action.”
One Gulfport parks department employee received a ticket, which he paid, Chief Rob Vincent told the Gabber.
