While crowds snacked on funnel cakes, listened to music, and browsed holiday crafts, a little history snuck in. At Heritage Village’s 34th annual Country Jubilee, crowds strolled through historic homes and learned about Pinellas history. Here, Pinellas County historian and University of South Florida St. Petersburg archivist Jim Schnur signs copies of his most recent book, Pinellas County: A Centennial History. Schnur accepted no compensation for his work, asking instead that the money go directly to Heritage Village.
Heritage Village maintains historic homes from throughout Pinellas as well as an extensive photo and records archive. In recent years the county has cut funding for this county facility.
