Labor Day Fish Fry
Are you ready for Labor Day? The annual Gulfport Lions Labor Day Fish Fry is being set up for you on Monday, September 5th, served by the Lions of Gulfport at their den at 4630 Tifton Drive South, in Gulfport, right behind the Marina (directions: south on 49th Street to the end, turn left), from noon until 6 p.m. and it is open to the public as are all of their food events. This event will be held rain or shine.
The menu features a great supply of freshly fried pollack, homemade hush puppies and cole slaw, baked beans, tarter and cocktail sauce, coffee and iced tea. At a cost of just $8 per person, for all you can eat, you can bring the entire family. Children under 10 are half-price. Tickets will be sold at the door or contact your local Lion friends. This is a BYOB event and remember it is open to the public.
This is one of their Activities’ Projects, with all of the proceeds generated to be allocated to their community outreach programs, especially Sight First activities, as are all of their fundraising projects (Spaghetti Suppers - 2, Pancake Breakfasts - 5, and Shrimp Boil).
Please make sure you are a part of this popular annual event, and don’t forget they will be hosting a Spaghetti Supper on October 1st. If you need further directions on the day of the event, call them at 515-7509.
Hope to see y’all there.
