Longtime museum, school and city hall volunteer Peggy Creed had a street and park named in her honor. The city commission voted unanimously to rename the city street end at 90th Avenue after the tireless volunteer.
“She just did it all, and all for us,” Lance Peterson said.
In addition to its proximity to her home of five decades, Friends of Gulf Beaches Historical Museum President Spencer Lucas reminded the commission the suggested location “faces west for the sunsets she loved.”
The city also voted to dedicate the park on 90th Avenue in Peggy Creed’s honor.
