Paul Pfister of the North Beach Civic Association volunteers to play the role of “attacker” as Pinellas County Sheriff’s Sergeant Denise Nestor shows beach residents how to defend themselves against a true attack.
Sergeant Denise Nestor took no prisoners Saturday morning at the St. Pete Beach Community Center. The Sergeant, who works for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, led a Professional Safety Forum for Women class where women learned security tips as well as how to best fend off an attack. The North Beach Civic Association presented the forum in conjunction with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office; residents who attended also received a free breakfast.
