Shrimp Boil at Lions Club

Shrimp Boil at Lions Club

Their seventh ever Shrimp Boil is being set up for you on Friday, March 8th served by the Lions of Gulfport, at their den at 4630 Tifton Drive S. in Gulfport (right behind the Marina off 49th St. S.). Dinner will be served from 4-8 p.m. and open to the public. BYOB. Rain or shine.

The menu features a great supply of fresh, peel and eat Gulf shrimp, homemade hushpuppies (check to see if they have any “Barbaric Hushpuppies” too) and cole slaw, baked beans, coffee and iced tea and desserts. A generous 1/2 lb. (weighed before cooking) serving for everyone and at a cost of $9 per person, you can bring the entire family. Additional shrimp can be purchased at $5 per 1/2 lb. Unfortunately, this is not an all you can eat dinner for a one time cost (as most of their events are) but well worth the price. Children under 10 years of age are half price.

You are welcome to bring your favorite beverage - BYOB (as they cannot sell beer or wine), as long as you share with the chefs.

Plenty of tickets will be available at the door, or contact any of your Lion friends. This is a Gulfport Lions Activities Project, with all of the net proceeds generated to be allocated to their community outreach programs, especially Sight First activities and community sponsorships, ie: Little League, Scouts, Christmas Toy Shop, etc., as are all of their fund-raiser projects ( Spaghetti Suppers; Pancake Breakfasts; Fish Fry etc.).
