Sign Code Changes


Vehicles can have a “vehicle wrap” on St. Pete Beach, but if a vehicle with any advertising on it whatsoever remains parked for more than three days, the city will consider it an illegal sign.


When asked if the much popularized “Best Buddiez” pink van – cited as a sign when it had it an inflatable holiday pup atop it last Christmas – would constitute a violation, Senior Planner Catherine Hartley said “as long as it’s used for the conduct of business – meaning it’s moved more than every 72 hours – then it’s not a sign.”
