St. Pete Beach Classic Changes

 

ST. PETE BEACH –  This year St. Pete Beach will return to a more ancillary role for the 2014 St. Pete Beach Classic. In recent years the city helped keep the event running smoothly by offering financial support, but next year the event will once again fall in the hands of Motion Sports Management, headed by north beach resident Al Johnson.

 Commissioners approved spending no more than $12,000 on the event; the bulk of this money covers the cost, City Manager Mike Bonfield, of law enforcement for the event.
