Q: When will the library remodeling start and how long should it take? Also, why can't the library move to another city building, such as the old police station?
A: St. Pete Beach plans to start a fundraising campaign this fall and tentatively will start construction in 2015.
“The current location seems ideal because of its location and our goal of creating a walkable downtown Corey area,” City Manager Mike Bonfield told the Gabber. “The old police station presents challenges, including the existing layout and cost of renovation, the ongoing cost of managing a two story library operation and parking.”
