St. Pete Beach Parking Fines and Permits

Q: The city of St. Pete Beach added some no parking areas off of Gulf Winds Drive. How much does a ticket cost me if I park there anyway?

A: According to the police dispatch office, officers may ticket an illegally parked vehicle every two hours for non-permitted parking. Each ticket carries a $40 fine. That means a car parked illegally for a day at the beach could run up $160 for illegal parking.

Cars with B permits can park on these side streets. B permits cost beach residents $20. Nonresidents can purchase a B permit for $120. The police department sells the permits between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and between 8 a.m. and noon on Wednesdays. Between noon and 12:30 p.m. the parking permit office closes for lunch. Bring your driver’s license and vehicle registration. Residents must have a driver’s license that reflects a beach address or other proof of residence.
