Q: What sparked the new logo for the city's rec department? How much did it cost?
A: The new logo, designed by St. Pete Beach resident Lorrie Bellinger for less than $400, "is part of a branding effort for our department," according to Jennifer McMahon, the city's Recreation Director, says. "The city has a logo, but the recreation department never did."
The city recreation center also has a redesigned web site (spbrec.com), developed with the city's contractor for its web services, Digital Eel.
