St. Pete Beach Trash Schedule

Q: Is our trash collection going back to the old schedule and, if it is, when?

A:  Yes. In the December 21 city newsletter, the city announced its success in getting WSI/Progressive to return to the old trash schedule.

On February 4, the north sections of the beach (from the Blind Pass bridge south to 55th Avenue, including Aloha, Leilani and Pali Way) will resume a Monday and Thursday trash collection. On February 11, WSI will begin collect recycling every Monday.

From 52nd Avenue to the south end of the island, WSI will collect trash on Tuesdays and Fridays. Those neighborhoods will have their recycling collected on Fridays.

In the newsletter, the city says it does not anticipate any changes in the trash schedule “for many years to come” and thanks people for their patience “as we work through this matter.”
