FEEMAN, Wilma, 89, of Gulfport, went to be with her Lord March 2, 2010. She was surrounded at the time of her death by her loving husband of 65 years, James; daughter, Virginia Miller (Glennis) of Tulsa, OK and son, Gregory (Mary Beth) of Tinley Park, IL. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffrey Lindemann. She is survived by 3 granddaughters, Teri Doss (Steve), Brienna Thompson (David), and Molly Feeman; 3 grandsons, Jerome and Michael Lindemann and Scott Feeman; and 2 great-granddaughters, Lyndsey & Michaela Lindemann. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 20th at 2:30 p.m. at Towne Shores Clubhouse. RUSSELL, Marvin H. Jr., “Russ”, 75, of Gulfport, died on Feb. 28, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Russ was born in Keene, NH. He graduated from Keene High School in 1952. He served in the Navy aboard the Joseph P. Kennedy as a Gunner’s Mate during the Korean War. Russ and his family moved to St. Petersburg in 1977. He retired from the Isla del Sol Country Club after 20 years, where he was golf maintenance supervisor. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Gladys DiLuzio. Survivors include his best friend and companion, Carol Russell; three daughters; Heidi Varley (Vince), Marie Reed (Jeremy) and Heather Raisler (Gregg); six grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Justin, Ally, Sydney and Kelsey; two great-grandchildren; an aunt; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Russ was a life member of the Elk’s Lodge and an avid hunter and fisherman during his lifetime. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 6 at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, Our Lady’s Chapel. Arrrangements by Gee & Sorensen Funeral Home, 727-323-5111.

STERNBERG, JOHN E., 84, of Gulfport, FL died Thursday, March 4, 2010. He died peacefully at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, John and Phyllis Sternberg of Port Charlotte, FL. John was born in Machias, ME on December 2, 1925. He graduated from Machias Maine High School, where he was an outstanding baseball and basketball player. Upon his school graduation, John joined the U.S. Navy where he served until his honorable discharge in February 1946. He married Augusta Smith of Perryville, MD on December 31, 1944 and remained married until her death on September 21, 1996. After his Navy discharge, John attended Western Maryland College, where he was a member of the tennis team and received a B.A. degree. He worked for the Department of the Army and retired from the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, MD. After retirement, John and Augusta moved to Florida where they eventually settled in Gulfport. John is survived by his son, John and daughter-in-law Phyllis of Port Charlotte, FL, his grandson Eric Sternberg and his wife, Kerri, and great-grandchildren Kalli, Elisha and Dahlia Sternberg of Scotia, NY and his granddaughter Emily (Sternberg) Lee, and her husband John Lee, of Baltimore, MD. A private graveside burial will be held at Bay Pines VA Cemetery on March 12. Arrangments are being made by Englewood Community Funeral Home.
