REMINDERS & UPCOMING EVENTS
2009 SUMMER PROGRAM-Ongoing registration continues for the 2009 Summer Recreation Program for children who have completed Kindergarten thru age 14.  Proof of residency is required for registration. Hours of registration for Monday–Friday are from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. You can pick up your packet at the Rec. Center or log on to www.ci.gulfport.fl.us and follow the links to City Departments, Leisure Services, Rec Center. For more information call 893-1068.
Tomlinson Skate Park Sticker-All skaters need to purchase a Skate Park sticker and have a consent form on file at the Recreation Center. Annual cost for stickers is $5 res./$10 non-res. Consent forms are available at the Recreation Center, 5730 Shore Blvd. S., Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. Skaters ages 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent and show proof of residency for registration.

PROGRAMS
Teen Night -Teens, ages middle school to 17. Mon., Wed. & Fri. 6-9 p.m. Annual reg. $2 res/$2 non-res.
Tot Time Program - Preregistration-Pre-registration for the 2009-2010 Tot Time Program are currently being accepted. Hours for pre-registration are from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. A non-refundable annual registration fee of $15 for residents and $100 for non-residents is required to secure a spot. Proof of residency is required for Gulfport residents. The Tot Time Program is a pre-school, hands-on program for children ages 3-5. The program aims to make learning fun for children and helps prepare them for Kindergarten. Two, three and five-day monthly options are available. Program hours are from 8:30a.m.-12:00p.m. Classes begin September 8, 2009. Call 893-1068 for more information.
CLASSES
NEW CLASS-Body Sculpt-Thurs. 6:30-7:30 p.m. Cost is $5 per class. This class is a combination of aerobics and strength training designed to get your heart rate into the cardio zone. For more info call Billie at 239-313-0876.
Creative Writing-Fri., 6:30-8 p.m. Learn how to put your creative thoughts together and write them down. Meet others with similar interests and exchange ideas. Call Rosiland Miller at 381-1030 for more info

Senior Center/GEMS Closed – Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day.
Digital Piano Needed-The digital piano at the Senior Center will play tunes no longer. Repair impossible. We miss our music! If anyone would like to donate a used digital piano or would simply like to replace ours, please contact the Senior Center. Thank you.
English as a Second Language-An English as a Second Language Class will once again be offered at the Senior Center if there is a need in the community. Please let us know if you are interested so we can plan accordingly.
Computer Classes-Are you interested in computer classes? Let us know what your particular interests are and we will try to accommodate.
Senior Discount Trolley Tokens-The Senior Center is now selling Senior Discount Trolley Token Saver Packs. The packs are $10 and contain 12 special tokens for the Gulfport/St. Pete Beach Trolley Connector route only. Must be over the age of 55 and show I.D. to purchase.
